Event information

This event has passed.

Join us for some social kayaking and skill practice at the sports centre pool (directions and more info on the link below).

http://www.lumc.org.au/activities/kayaking-and-rafting/

Kayaking in the pool is a great way to learn how to kayak in a safe environment, learn to eskimo roll, refine your skiils. Gear hire is free for LUMC members- all you need is bathers and towel

How the sessions will work for 2024

You will need to pre-register for every session by clicking Attend on link above. If you are having trouble, please email clubofficer@lumc.org.au or message us on facebook. We will open up bookings ~2 weeks in advance

- When you arrive at the Sports Centre, come in via the front door

- Walk around to the pool through the sliding glass doors to the left of front desk and up the ramp

- If you are bringing your own boat you will need to enter via the car park at the back of the sports centre rather than walking boats through the sports centre, but please don't park around the back

- If you are new to kayaking, make sure you introduce yourself to one of the more experienced members and we will get you started!

- All attendees will be asked to demonstrate a wet exit at the start of their first session

- Please make sure you arrive on time for an 8pm start so we can set up, get gear out and get kayaking!
