The plan is to leave Melbourne Friday evening, and drive up to the Thomson to camp.
On Saturday we will run a section above Bruntons Bridge, before setting the shuttle for the gorge.
On Sunday, we will do the Bruntons to Cowarr run down the gorge.
More info will be added closer to the trip, and the trip opened then - for now just keep the date
If you want to go on this trip you will have to have attended one of the Intro to kayaking sessions or have equivalent knowledge (how to perform a wet exit at minimum), be able to swim at least 50m in strong currents, and have previous whitewater kayaking experience. We plan to just take kayaks and maybe an ik2, with only people who are relatively experienced.
There may be an opportunity to to do an overnight rafting trip with Aaron, but it will probably be unofficial.
More details will be added closer to the date.
If you have any queries then please get in touch.
Cheers
Michael
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you dont have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
