Further information and what to bring here

The Activities

(note this is what is planned, may change depending on weather and logistics, regardless it will be fun!). Usually everyone gets to do at least 2 of the activities (sometimes 3 depending on how the scheduling ends up working- we will confirm closer to the trip so you know what to bring).

Paddling (Rafting or Kayaking)
We will go paddling on a section of the Goulburn River near Eildon. There is some grade I-II whitewater rapids and its lots of fun. Beginners welcome! The club has a range of boats and what we will use will depend on the river levels and experience of the group- will be either 6 person rafts, 2 person inflatable kayaks or whitewater kayaks. All paddling gear (boat, paddle, pfd, helmet provided). You need to be able to swim and comfortable in moving water.

Rockclimbing

Climbing will be top roping and its a fun social activity and you can climb as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Our club leaders will set up the ropes and teach you wht you need to know so no experience necessary. All climbing gear provided (although if you have your own harness/shoes you are welcome to bring it).

Hiking

The Cathedrals offers us some of the most spectacular short (1/2 day - full day walks). Which walks will vary depending on the weather and the groups. Most of the walks involve a bit of up/down and rock scrambling - but all very achievable. Expect spectacular views, great commradree and a great hike

Signups will strictly close Wed 18th of March (unless sold out prior).

You must signup in order to attend, and pay the trip fee. We run the trip at costs so unfortunately there is no refunds available if you are no longer able to attend (talk to us if you have covid or other contagious things- we don't want everyone to get sick so you will need to stay home!)
