Expression of Interest

The club is offering some subsidized training for members. 

We will cover approx 80% of the cost!  Having 1st aiders on every trip is part of the clubs risk management plan.

Anyone who is planning to come on club events regularly following the training is encouraged to apply.  New members shouldn't feel shy about putting their hand up if planning to go on club events.  

We will support the following

• Senior (Level 2) 1st aid
• CPR refresher
• Remote 1st aid

Level 2 1st aid and CPR refreshers are open to everyone. Remote 1st aid we will only have a couple of places we can offer so people regularly going on trips to more remote places will be priorised (kayaking, backcountry skiing, harder bushwalks etc). 

How it will work

- You fill in nomination ASAP

- The club will be in touch shortly after to advise if you are successful/not 

- Successful members will receive additional info and be asked to book into a course in the next 2 months, provide receipt to the club for reimbursment

- Once you have done the training, emaiil through your certificate of attainment to the club

- You come on lots of adventures!

Cost to participants should be a max $20-40 depending on the course/where you do the training (heavily subsidised!).  The club will subsidise the rest of the course

Deciding who will receive the subsidized training will be done in line with the club guidelines. These questions here will assist the assessment panel to decide who is best to receive the funding. If you don't write information here, the assessment panel won't know about it!
