Hey everyone we’ve got an opportunity to run a day trip with the Climbing Company where we’ll take a limited number of people outdoor climbing to learn to safetly set up top ropes. 

The trip will be a top rope anchors & abseiling day program aimed at those keen to up-skill and help us to run trips in the future.

Time: TBC with those attending

Experience required: Able to tie a figure of eight knot, confident toproping ability, climbing at grades ≤15

Destination: Location will most likely be Mt Macedon but up to the discrecion of the instructors on the day. 

Approx cost: ~$50-80 course fee + transport, + gear hire if needed Exact cost will be confirmed once we finalise numbers. 

Maximum group size: Max 6

Other Important Info: 

As we’re running the program to help get outdoor climbing trips into the lumc calendar more regularly we will heavily subsidise the cost.

 The course is limited to a max 6 people - if we receive more nominations than this we may need to prioritise and have a waiting list.

There is an expectation that those attending the subsidised training will continue to be involved in the club next year and can support running of upcoming climbing trips
